sodipodi just does not print, and nor does gimp!!!
i have a hp deskjet 3320 printer which is properly set up, all other apps seem to print fine, but I need those two!!!

i always first export from sodipodi to png with a normal printer resolution and then print it
at least this is a workaround ;-)

I need to print from gimp.
My exports from sodipodi to a png are makeing a black background , and only the gradients seem to apear .

this is strange
for gimp, you should edit the command gimp uses to print - this at least i needed (remove almost all other parameters and use only lpr -Pprintername instead - and make sure gimp-print is installed)

just tried to print in sodipodi using the same command
the outlines are printed ok, but gradients are not at all printed (white)
i have a black/white laser, so maybe it's some problem that it must be set to support gradients - no idea
but in general printing from sodipodi works also
lpr -Pprintername

it works from gimp, from sodipodi I get this from the terminal I started it from :
sodipodi
lpr: unable to print file: client-error-not-found

also if from shell:
lpr -P<printer_name> <text file>
same error.
but
lp <text file> | pr
works
