Wifi on ThinkPad x60s

Hi
I have problems with my wifi.

iwconfig gives me

bash-3.2# iwconfig                                                    
lo        no wireless extensions.                                     

eth0      no wireless extensions.

wmaster0  no wireless extensions.

wlan0     IEEE 802.11abg  ESSID:""

but when i try to

Do you have the firmware installed? The package is iwlwifi-3945-ucode

pacman -Qs intel

    Mesa DRI drivers for Intel chipsets

    Intel wireless firmware for IPW3945 (iwlwifi driver)
local/iwlwifi-4965-ucode 228.57.2.23-1
    Intel wireless firmware for IPW4965 (iwlwifi driver)
local/xf86-video-intel 2.4.3-1 (xorg-video-drivers)
    X.org Intel i810/i830/i915/945G/G965+ video drivers

but when I do:
iwlist wlan0 scann

wlan0     Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down

I think I've did everything except downgrading to depreciated ipw3945 module. But it's the last thing I wont to try smile. Any more ideas?

you need to also see/paste "dmesg | grep wlan0"

it should be (in rc.conf)
INTERFACES=(eth0 !wlan0)
