installing x.org and kde

I went through the wiki to configure x.org but I got a "no screens found" error when it tried to start.

I retried the config with all the lowest options hoping for some compatibility, but no luck... still a "no screens found".

What could be causing my no screens found error?
I got kde by 'pacman kde' and xorg came down with it... so that's what I'm using.  If you think I'd have better luck with x86free.. how can I uninstall/delete xorg and get x86free?
Anything else you think would help the noob... the wiki isn't getting me very far

Here's my basic hardware:
800x600 lcd
Rage 128 Mobility card with AGP2x and 4mb memory

Re: installing x.org and kde

I got it working with the command "Xorg -configure" (the x auto configure)

I ran that and it told me it couldn't detect my mouse, so I just googled around for somebody elses settings for a usb logitech with scroll wheel... found them, entered them into the newly created xorg.conf.new then saved.

I then replaced /etc/X11/xorg.conf with the confi.new auto created file.

I'm now in x windows smile

Now to get KDE working....
