[SOLVED] slim stopping...fails!

Hi all,
i've installed kde and fluxbox...!I'm usign mostly fluxbox, I like it very much. I installed also slim as login manager and seems to work good. The only problem is that when I shutdown my system when all messages are appearing there are also two failures with the same message:
"Stopping Simple Login Manager  [FAIL]"

I can't understand why! Any Help?

Thanks in advance!

Re: [SOLVED] slim stopping...fails!

You have SLiM set up as a daemon, and when you shut down (it shuts down all daemons), it's not running, so it can't stop.

The warning means nothing, but you could use the (IMO better) inittab method of using a login manager: here.

Re: [SOLVED] slim stopping...fails!

thanks for your answer...
ok...I'll try...so I think wiki should mention that slim gives you this bad warning! with kdm I've none of this problem...starting from daemons.

Thanks a lot!
