I recently reinstalled Arch with the latest installer 2009.02 (RC2) and chose ext4 as my root system. Now, I have a second 'control' install that handles GRUB and acts as a fallback system which I also upgraded. On this second system I installed partimage. Trying to use it to make a backup image of my new main arch install resulted in a error message (something with bits, I forget).
Does anyone know if there is/might be a problem with partimage and ext4? Google doesn't have much to say on the subject. Partimage itself represented my new partition as 'ext3fs'...?

Ext4fs is not listed; it likely will not work correctly.

Use partclone instead

I've used the latest PartedMagic version (3.6) to create my ext4 partitions and had no problems.
But it was created with "mkfs.ext4 -j -O extent -L "" /dev/sdXX" , is there a difference to the usual "mkfs.ext4 /dev" shown in the wiki?
