Hi everyone..
I've just installed kde4.2 from kdemod repo and can't start it using slim.
I can't find 'startkde' anywhere..
This is what I can find about kde in $PATH:
kde-cp
kde-mv
kde-open
kde4
kde4-config
kde4-menu
kdebugdialog
kded4
kdeinit4
kdeinit4_shutdown
kdeinit4_wrapper
kdemod-config-updater
kdemod-nutcracker
kdemod-sysinfo
kdemod-update-icons
kdemod-update-mime
kdemod-update-sycoca
kdepasswd
kdestroy
kdesu
makekdewidgets
openbox-kde-session
Well, could someone explain me how to start kde now? Thanks

you tried adding
exec startkde
to your ~/.xinitrc?
SLiM loads from that file by default.

I have /usr/bin/startkde, which is part of kdemod-kdebase-workspace. You could try reinstalling (or installing if you don't have it) to see if it fixes things
