Hi there,
I had recently bought hom an AP to get rid of the ethernet cable. And here is the problem: I connect, browse the web and everything goes fine for some time until conky displays CPU1 load -294859938(some big number)%, then everything starts to freeze up. Then I get no response from the system and have to shutdown manually.
kernel:
2.6.28-ARCH (x86_64)
processor:
AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 (2GHz)
wireless:
08:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)
using wl module (v5_10_27_14)
help?

Have you tried to run your laptop with wireless disabled and see if there is the same issue?

yes I have. There was no problem

It seems to be an issue with the kernel module for your laptops wifi card then. I would report it as a bug, and see what develops from there.

Well, after some deep thinking, I've realized, that my conky is fetching my actual public IP adress every second (that's just useless). I've removed that line of conky and everything goes just fine.
Anyway, I agree that it probably is more likely a kernel module or my wifi card issue..
thanks for help
