[SOLVED -- I think] KDE DVD Automount Doesn't Work

I've searched (and I may have searched wrong!) but what I've found and tried hasn't helped. In Gnome, my DVDs mount just fine automatically. In KDE, they do not mount automatically. I've tried with both CD/DVD entries in fstab, and I've tried removing them. K3B finds the DVD drive just fine -- and I even burned a DVD. But it won't mount.

Does anyone have any ideas? This is an Arch32 laptop with latest regular updates -- no [testing] stuff. I'm going to check my home machine when I get home (and Arch64 install), but I think it mounts OK.

Help?

Oh, I also went through some of the stuff in the HAL Wiki that seemed appropriate with no change. Any clues would be helpful. But if no one has any, I understand.

OK, the DVD was bad!  Imagine that! It won't mount anymore in Gnome either. Tried a different machine and the DVD could not be read. Ahhh!
