VLC closes after playing. Using Arch 64 bits.

Hi.

I am using Arch Linux 2009.2 64 bits version and VLC 0.9.8a.  My current settings to VLC is "Video Preferences Output" assigned to X11 Video Output.

VLC shuts down after starting playing a stream right after brings up sound and video.  Is there any suggestion to prevent such annoyed situation?

Thank you.

Dear mrunion

Thank you for your message.  Running vlc --reset-config turned vlc into "factory default".  I run vlc from a terminal and got the following:

$ vlc

Some stations showed their video and played audio.  Some others made vlc to crash saying "segmentation fault" error message.

Well, I run vlc as normal user, not root nor with sudo.

Thanks.

Well, thanks again.  Unfortunately no luck so far.  Deleting ~/.config/vlc  or vlc --reset-config didn't make any difference.  Considering that this bug has been already placed to bug report, I think, for while I will see smplayer.

Thanks.
