I recently made the switch from ubuntu to archlinux. But afterwards I noticed something strange: my nVidia Geforce Go 6600 is hotter in archlinux.
With ubuntu it's around 70, in archlinux it's 80 degrees. I obtained the measurements with the nvclock tool.
I tried to configure xorg, as described in http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/How … DIA_driver, but it didn't help. The driver versions were the same too.
What could be the reason? Are 10 degrees more bad for the hardware?
