Tool to set wallpaper with offset

Is there a way to set the wallpaper with an X offset, so the wallpaper is not covered by the upper panel? I've tried awsetbg and feh, but they don't seem to offer any offset options.

Re: Tool to set wallpaper with offset

I don't think such a tool exists. But maybe you can sort of make something for yourself with bash and imagemagick ?
Append a black line the size of your panel to your image with imagemagick, save the image to a temporary place and set that new image as the wallpaper with feh ?

If I understood you correctly this could basically give you what you need wink

I was going to suggest something similar. If you wanted to get fancy, you could even make it take a parameter that would decide where the panel was.

Although I have not looked into it, you can probably achieve this with habak and similar tools that let you compose the wallpaper from multiple images.
