Amaya help please?

Amaya pops up for a second and then crashes every time I try to start
it. I get this:

10:02:50 AM: Deleted stale lock file '/path/to/lock'.
/usr/bin/amaya: line 11:  2039 Segmentation fault      
env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 G_SLICE="always-malloc" 
$PREFIX/$AMAYA_INSTALLDIR/$AMAYAGUI/bin/amaya_bin ${1+$@}

anybody?  I may be the only one, but I like using amaya (when I can).

Did this start happening recently? If so, anything that might have triggered it?

Segfaults are usually app bugs, though.

It has acutally been long enough that I don't remember what may have broken it.  Probably an upgrade somewhere.
