I've recently installed Doom 3 from AUR and copied the .pk4 files to my ~/.doom3 directory. The game starts, but after I click on "New Game", I get a black screen with a blue box in the center (like a typical dialog box in the game), and it freezes there.
The console output, until typing "exit" in the doom3 console here in the pastebin.
My graphics card is Radeon 9700, and I'm runnning the latest open-source driver from the Arch repository, along with the latest libtxc_dxtn (non-experimental) libraries compiled from AUR.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Only the best is good enough.

Hey!
The empty window is asking for a cdkey i think. make sure your /.doom3/base/doomkey is correct.
Also pk4's need to be in ../doom3/d3xp/
Good luck.

Hmm. That just might make sense actually, come to think of it. The game hasn't asked me for a CD-key yet. I'll give it a try.
edit: It works now. Apart from entering the cd-key, I had to migrate to the proprietary ATI drivers again... seems like open-source drivers don't support the engine yet. Or is it just me? Anyway, solved.
