CanonLBP1210: "/usr/sbin/ccpd: No such file or directory"-but there is

I installed the capt package from AUR today and one of the files that i need to run to get the printer daemon running is /usr/sbin/ccpd. Which is a file that i can see with ls, has been chmodded to 777, but when i try to execute it i get

/usr/sbin/ccpd: No such file or directory

how do i get rid of this problem so i can print?

if its of importance, when installing capt (through yaourt) i changed the PKGBUILD from i686 to x86_64.
I also, in desperation grabbed the ccpd file which worked on ubuntu (as 64bit) but i couldn't execute it either

It sounds to me like you're trying to run a 32 bit binary on your 64 bit machine. This kind of thing works with Ubuntu because has a multi-lib setup by default. Find out what its dependencies are, and see if the corresponding lib32 libraries exist.
