I went to update my system this morning, using 'pacman -Syu', and it gave me a whole list of errors, starting with:

There is a whole list of .FILELIST errors, involving every package that it was going to upgrade (cdrtools-2.00.3-1 cups-1.1.19-1 doxygen-1.3.1-1 esd-0.2.29-4 file-4.03-1 findutils-4.1.20-1 gettext-0.12.1-1 initscripts-0.5-2 mktemp-1.5-1 pacman-2.5-2 php-4.3.2-1).
Any ideas?

Upgrade pacman first. There have been some package changes in 2.5 that previous pacmans don't understand ;o)
You might want to remove the /.FILELIST that is added my pacman when you do that install though (at least, in theory it will be there).
