Hi, Im starting openbox via GDM and the only gnome things that runs is gnome-keyring-daemon. Do I need it? How do I remove it?
Thanks in advance.

uncomment following lines in /etc/pam.d/gdm:
#auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so
#session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start

They already uncommented.
Also gconfd and gvfs suddenly appeared in the process list.

Well sorry for bumping but I really stuck with it.
I'm running Openbox via GDM, and gnome-keyring-daemon always starts. Also after running (probably gtk/gnome related programs [sonata?, gcalctool, don't remember what else]) gvfsd and gconf2 appears in the process list. I don't want to remove gnome, but I don't need those process neither. Is there a way to get rid of them?

guess you were missunderstood.
you need to comment gnome-keyring, instead of uncommenting.

Oh thanks thats fixed the keyring problem. But still for example when I launch sonata, gvfsd and gconf2 launches also, is it suppose to be so?
Thanks!

Sorry for being that annoying but I really want to remove those processes. I tried to boot via startx while cat .xinitrc == exec openbox-session
and still the same issue.
Thanks again ><
