Hello,
my fresh Archlinux installation with xorg packages refuses to start with AIGLX support.
This is what X tells me when starting it:
(EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so: file too short)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
(II) AIGLX: Loaded and initialized /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so
(II) GLX: Initialized DRISWRAST GL provider for screen 0
What does "file too short" mean?
Anyway, glxinfo reports support for Direct Rendering, but KDE complains about missing support.
Regards,
dct.
PS: In the previous installation a day before all worked fine on exactly the same system configuration.

I discovered that the file "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so" is actually 0 bytes long.
I repetitive reinstalled xorg, mesa and libgl without success.
libgl and mesa version is 7.2-1.
Has anybody an idea what causes this situation?

Hmm, try to install ati-dri or install xf86-video-ati-git from AUR (i guess you want to use Radeon)

Reinstalling ati-dri solved the problem.
Thank you very much!
