PVR-500: Turn off delay?

Hello,

I have a PVR-500 tuner card. It works fairly nice. However I would like to hook up some of my console systems to it and run them through the computer so I can use the surround sound my computer has. Also to be able to take screenshots and such.

The trouble is there is a delay on the tuner card. It seems that that would make it impossible to play any games that way. I'm not sure why it has a delay since I don't believe it has a hardware encoder or anything.

Anyhow, is it possible to turn off whatever is causing the delay?

If not, what would be the best alternative method for hooking up console systems to the computer?

Also, I'm in the market for another card and would like any recommendations on what's good. I would like to have a card that can get satellite input without using the satellite box (ie, straight from the dish to the computer). Is this possible? The box causes me a good deal of annoyance with the channel changing since one of the two only uses UHF.

Thanks for any help or advice.
