kdemod-playground-k3b-svn

K3b gives this error

/usr/lib/libkcddb.so.4: invalid ELF header

How do I fix this?

Try reinstalling kdemod-kdemultimedia-common.

Perfect.  Works like a charm.  I was using the "regular" k3b and it worked fine, but it looked less integrated into the desktop, and all of my music files are m4a format and the kdemods version will burn those directly from amarok.  I can't use amarok 2 yet... m4a format does not seem to work as of yet:-(

Amarok 2 uses AFAIK Phonon, and Phonon uses either Xine or Gstreamer as backend, so you should probably check your codec packages. maybe faad or gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins

Re: kdemod-playground-k3b-svn

The issue that I had actually is that it would not list any of the m4a files in my library after scanning, so I am not even sure if they played.  I am set up to use the Xine backend in Phonon.

Perhaps this is fixed now.  I am not really big on the appearance/interface of Amarok 2, but perhaps that is because I have not used it much.
