Terminus font size

Hi there,

I've installed the Terminus font, because I want to use it in Konsole. However I had to notice that the next bigger font size after 12 is 15 points. Does anybody know why there's no 13 or 14 point? I find 12 too small to read and 15 to big to fit into my Konsole window.

Can I somehow tweak it or download a different version of Terminus, so that it will use 13 or 14?

TIA,
Blackhole

Re: Terminus font size

On my install xfontsel shows 12, 14,16,17...etc and I don't believe there's another source as the community pkg uses the original authors source.

Re: Terminus font size

I think it goes 12, 14, 20. And 16 == 14 but more space.

TTF would scale but it will look bad (does terminus even have it?)

The only solution is editing all the glyphs in fontforge to make them one pixel bigger or smaller. That is probably not worth it though because it will take you dozens of hours.

It appears to be so big_smile 'cause i've got sizes 12, 13, 14, 16, 18.

but, mind you, it's in Appearance dialogue in Gnome.

Crazy. Can anybody recommend another similar terminal font?

don't get upset.
I just checked and found that font sizes 12 and 13 are in fact same, as well as 14 and 16. So nothing is unusual in your situation. smile

As for the fonts... I really could not find terminal font better then Terminus. At least for me. I use it in console as well (one with f in it's name i.e. ter-k16f, as these do very well with ncurses)

Re: Terminus font size

Dina for an alternative to terminus that has the sizes you are looking for (if you can get it to work in konsole)
