Hi,
today I've noticed that print screen on my keyboard stopped working - it was ok week ago when I last used it. Does anybode have any hints where to look for problem?
I use latest gnome and compiz for this moment

Can't you use "xev" from the command line?
Enter "xev" and a box will appear. Press the print screen button and you should get something like:
KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2a00001,
root 0x1a6, subw 0x0, time 4454671, (248,-50), root:(253,361),
state 0x10, keycode 111 (keysym 0xff61, Print), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False
Note: "keycode 111" and "Print" (meaning the computer recognizes the key as the "Print Screen" key).
From here, you could just go to Gnome's keybind setting manager and bind the key to whatever screen capture software (I don't know how it is done on Gnome).
If the "Print" identifier does not exist, then the computer does not recognize the key. You would then have to use a ~/.Xmodmap file to redefine the key.
Lets see what "xev" tells us.

The answer is that for some reason Gnome Compatibility was disabled during installation of some package. Just enable it and everything works fine.
