are qingy and consolekit incompatible?

For the last couple of hours I tried to fix logging in with qingy into a proper consolekit session. The usual things (adding pam_ck_connector.so to /etc/pam.d/qingy and running WM's with 'ck-launch-session WM') are not enough - the output of ck-list-sessions still has

active = FALSE
<snip>
x11-display-device = ''
<snip>

(the other values are OK). Hence none of the things that go through policykit (permissions, mounting, etc) don't work as expected.

Does anyone know what's needed to fix this? For instance I wasn't able to track down the place where the problem occurs - consolekit doesn't do any reasonable logging.
