No Sound on DVD's / Movies

Hello, I just did a first time install of Arch Linux, in R6, former Knoppmyth.  I love the Arch Linux, control and the use of pacman.  I have just one problem, I have NO sound when watching movies of any sort.  When watching TV, my mythtv, is perfect, even the recordings.  Just no sound at all with Movies.

I would like to add this problem is with a S/PDIF output, perhaps the DVD's and Videos are not being informed by Linux to direct their output this way?
