I am in openbox.
So I followed the steps on the wiki, and when I run "hcitool scan" I get the mac address of my MP3 player which is good.
So I am getting stuck more on the actual transfer of files / a program that will allow me to do this. In exile (my media player of choice) there is a plugin that allows you to send files to a bluetooth device. It requires "gnome-obex-send".
I am not sure if I have this, and I probably don't, but here is the output when I try to use plugin:
send ( /home/phil/.exaile/plugins/bluetooth.py @ 32):
-----------------------
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/phil/.exaile/plugins/bluetooth.py", line 34, in send
subprocess.call(['gnome-obex-send'] + files)

return Popen(*popenargs, **kwargs).wait()
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/subprocess.py", line 595, in __init__
errread, errwrite)
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/subprocess.py", line 1106, in _execute_child

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory
I tried several of bluetooth managers on the wiki but i wasn't successful with any of them.

What exactly do you mean by this. I have Bluetooth to my needs up and running. ![]()
I installed blueman to connect to my phone (and other bluetooth devices), furthermore I installed Wammu to manage my phone. No problem at all!
Edit:
A few minutes ago I installed phonetooth and have succesfully send my first sms-message with it via Bluetooth.
