Openbox: Extracting an Archive with a Password

I have tried extracting several .rar archives that I know contain passwords. I have tried squeeze, file-roller and xarchiver but all of them caused openbox to completely freeze. I had to do a ctrl+alt+backspace to get out.

I asked briefly in IRC and someone said something about it being an openbox problem so I am asking here. Is there a fix or something I am unaware of?

Re: Openbox: Extracting an Archive with a Password

I've never had a problem extracting password-protected *.rar files in Openbox.
Try using the commandline:

unrar x myfile.rar

It will prompt you for the password.

Re: Openbox: Extracting an Archive with a Password

I had this issue, and solved it with the 'unrar x' command.

Later, I discovered that Xarchiver doesn't freeze Openbox, and is also smaller and faster, if you want to give it a try.

Edit: Oh, you said Xarchiver also freezes, sorry. xD
