Where is xfce4-dict freestanding app?

I upgraded to Xfce 4.6, but I only find the xfce4-dict-plugin, not the freestanding app you can start with command: "xfce4-dict" according to Xfce's Goodies site. Where can I find it?

Re: Where is xfce4-dict freestanding app?

I was able to get it to work by downloading it and installing it from their website...

wget http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/applications/xfce4-dict
tar -xjf xfce4-dict-0.5.2.tar.bz2
cd xfce4-dict-0.5.2
./configure
make
make install

To get it to work, I had to move xfce4-dict from /usr/local/bin to /usr/bin
Probably something to do with the Makefile, someone more educated than me probably knows why.

Re: Where is xfce4-dict freestanding app?

I wouldn't say "great" myself..

If this is meant to be included in xfce4-goodies, post a feature request in the bugtracker - the xfce maintainer may have overlooked it.

If you want to build it yourself, please consider creating an Arch package for it. Full details in the wiki.

You are right. I filed a feature request.
