How to get Canon MP600R printing?

Hey all,

I need your assitance - I just don't know how to get that f******* printer working. I don't find any driver for that (there is a thread about MP610 pointing to the south-east-canon page - but i don't see no driver there) and to be honest I wouldn't even know how to install the driver if i'd have any.

Could someone be so cute to guide me abit?

Thanks,
hubutz

PS: If that's sort of important: I'd like to use it via USB from my Lenovo T61 with Arch64 (and KDEmod).

Well, if the latest gutenprint isn't working (it's working for many Pixma printers, although at a resolution not higher than 600*600 dpi- you can probably get higher resolutions by hacking the source files), then the only way out is the Turboprint driver, which is commercial (and not terribly cheap). At least it gives a 30-days free demo, to see if it fits your needs.

Re: How to get Canon MP600R printing?

well i've "installed" gutenprint, but... as far as i see there is no driver for MP600 in. Is there any other printer i may try that could do the trick? Don't like to test all of them.
If i print sth with the MP610 driver i just don't get any output.

//EDIT
nevermind - took the wrong source. There was a "MP600#1 USB" as well... this one works fine. Thanks!
