How are my daemons being used?

I have added quite a few daemons in rc.conf, but now I'm forgetting why I have put some of them there. Is there any way I can determine what programs are using the daemons?

And on that note, would anybody be able to explain the difference between daemons and modules?

Thanks in advance for helping a noob.

Re: How are my daemons being used?

Daemons are just programs that run in the background. Modules are drivers and such that get loaded into the kernel.

As for what is using what, I don't know what you could do. Looking up those daemons on the net might remind you what you put them there for. Some (like mpd, cups, or sshd, for example) have more obvious purposes than others. You can always ask here if you get stumped.
