Hi there!
I'm quite new to linux, so sorry for dumb questions that might follow
I installed Arch 2 or 3 weeks ago and already had problems booting the live CD...
It always froze at loading UDev.. I managed to start the CD and install everything well by removing my Twinhan TV-Card (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Twinhan_VP-1025)
When I plug it back in arch still freezes while booting. When I add dvb-bt8xx to the modules, booting already freezes while loading the modules...
Anyone got a solution to be able to boot?
It would be ok for me to switch to windows everytime I want to watch TV... but plugging in and out the Card everytime sucks..
btw: I already tried all the PCI Slots in my mainboard... I have a Intel DP35DP Mainboard, just if this matters...
Thanks in advance

I get the same thing while I was trying to get my Twinhan VP-1041 to work. I don't know exactly why it doesn't work but try to remove not needed modules (modules=()) from your /etc/rc.conf. The same thing was on my laptop and wireless thing .
Archlinux: x86_64, Gnome 2.26.*
I am registered Linux user number 485935 since september, 2007.

I also had the problem when arch was freshly installed... without any modules in the rc.conf...
atm I only have fuse and the one for the ATI Drivers in it... but I'll try it tomorrow..
thx for your reply... good night...

Ok I can boot now by adding
!bttv !dst !dvt-bt8xx
to my modules list...
But solutions to watch TV with linux are welcome, too
