Please forgive me.....
I have to use winxp for my work.....that said-it went renegade and ate my my GRUB.
(I'll spare you the tale...)
I'm using Knoppix to access the web and my files for now(xp isn't allowed on the internet....)
But I can no longer boot to my ArchLinux partition and I need GRUB back.
How do I put it back where it belongs? I'm afraid i don't understand the cryptic
command line utility and I've spent a day and a half trying to figure how to do this..
Thanking you all in advance for your help.
BTW I'm new to Linux and have fallen in love with Arch!

Try chroot-ing into your Arch partition from Knoppix, and then use grub-install...

um, I may need a little further instruction on that,
Don't know what chroot is, tried it anyway and ended up looking at
the same cryptic grub console config utility that i had previously had no luck with....
Still pretty green here.....
thanx
