Framebuffer not working at 1280x800 only 1280x1024 - vesafb or uvesafb

Hi,

No matter if I use the default vesafb or if I install v86d and use uvesafb I cannot make my display work at 1280x800.

If I use the default vesafb and if I set vga=ask in grub menu.1st, 1280x800 is no where to be seen on the list, only reoslutions below and above that, namely 1280x1024.

If I use uvesafb and properly configure /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb to run the framebuffer at 1280x800, for some reason, it loads at 1280x1024 and I can't understand why. I've been searching on these forums and everyone seems to suggest uvesafb for widescreen resolutions, but it's not working with me.

If it matters, my uvesafb configuration is this:

options uvesafb mode_option=1280x800-32 mtrr=2 scroll=redraw

And it's probably important that I'm running this Arch installation in VirtualBox.

Help is really appreciated...
