sound problem eee 1000h

Hello,

At first i hope you understand me, it's my first time in an English speaking forum. If i do any mistakes in grammer or spelling you can improve me. smile

I've some problems with the sound on my eee pc.
First question is: what's right in the rc.conf: snd_hda_intel or snd-hda-intel or doesn't matter?
Secound question: i tried everything in the wiki (alsa and Asus Eee PC 901) to get sound, but nothing want to work.

On time i had sound, but there were the modules loading manually via modprobe.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums OEP.

If you have succeeded to obtain sound using modprobe then the solution is simple.
1. use modprobe to load the modules until you find the one that works.
2. edit "/etc/rc.conf" and add it to the line that reads: MODULES=() and add the module name (like you typed it when using modprobe).

That should work.

Hope this helps.
