Deluge bittorrent client "not connected"

Hi, all.

I'm trying to use Deluge, but some of the preferences are "greyed-out" and at the bottom of the window it says "not connected".

I've been using Deluge for a while on my old distro, and never had any problems.  Is this a known issue?

Thanks,

Chris.

Re: Deluge bittorrent client "not connected"

is an issue with deluge. when i choose quit the GUI is exiting but if i do ps ax | grep deluge the process is there. you need to kill it.
it says that isn't connected because the fiist process is using the port that you have set up and the second is using an random one.

Re: Deluge bittorrent client "not connected"

Is this reportd as a bug?  Seems pretty serious.

So I launch Deluge, kill it, grep for a second process, then it works?

Chris.

Re: Deluge bittorrent client "not connected"

maybe you didn't undestant me clear. thats a case where you close deluge and want to start it again.
maybe your case is that you are behind a router and you need to open a port forward and set up that port in deluge.

Re: Deluge bittorrent client "not connected"

My router config is fine.  Maybe Arch blocks the port that Deluge uses, by default.

I'm new to Arch, but with other distros, I have used Deluge and this hasn't been an issue.  I will try deluge again tonight, bt I think this was a problem as soon as Deluge was launched.

Thanks,

Chris.
