a mixer-like tool to run in fluxbox toolbar?

All I want is for a small icon to tell me if I have sound muted or not I tried wmixer and the like, but they all run in their big rectengular boxes and are quite ugly running like that. Is there a "dock app" (?) I can run in my toolbar (like wicd does, see img)?

PS. I use fluxbox alsamixer & keys to adjust volume, so I don't even need a "mixer" tool. just a small icon to show me if the laptop will start "screaming" or be mute.

It's not quite what you're looking for, but it sits in the tray and if you hover your mouse over it, it displays the current volume.

Otherwise, I have no clue.

EDIT: Actually, this is exactly what you want! I just realized that there is a preference to have a dynamic icon!
