Xf86-video-ati 6.12 released with R6xx/R7xx support

Finally some good, opensource drivers for newer Ati gfx cards smile

Cannot wait when it will be possible to test them on Arch

But the ati driver needs libdrm>=2.4.5. It is only in testing yikes

You do know xf86-video-radeonhd already supports those GPUs, and the new -ati driver is (I'm pretty sure) just a port of that support over? big_smile

@Dinth: Try tweaking your Xorg.conf... make a new one with Xorg -configure and/or hwd and try tweaking that... etc. I'm guessing you're using an Xorg.conf made from the AMD tool, and that that one doesn't work with the OSS driver?

Ranguvar: no, thats confirmed KDE bug. Radeonhd is terrible slow at 2D and also causes Plasma crashes for me
