So, I noticed sometimes htop tells me that I have about a dozen kazehakase processes running when I open my browser. Take a look at this.
And then I noticed that I have a LOT of instances of usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon. Huh?
Anyone know what's going on? ps -A tells me I just have one kazehakase running.

They're probably threads. I'm not knowledgeable about this, but I'm pretty certain that that's the explanation for the multiple ck-daemon instances.

So when htop tells me I have 7 instances of kazehakase running, does that mean that each ones takes up 12mb of ram, or just one?

I'm pretty sure that it means they use 12mb of ram in total. You can hide threads by pressing "H" in htop.

When in htop:
F2 (Setup) -->
Display options -->
Check 'Hide userland threads' -->
F10 (Done)
That will give you a better view of processes vs. threads.
