"Pacman is currently in use, please wait."

I get this error when I try to run either Yaourt or Pacman. I was in the middle of installing a package when I lost my internet connection, if that helps.

I've tried googling for a solution to no avail. I've also tried to remove /tmp/pacman.lock, I've also tried to kill any pacman processes which are running, and finally I've tried rebooting my computer, all to no avail. I've been running arch for over a year now, and this is the first real error I've had an issue with. smile

Thanks for your help.

Thank you. That did it for me.

I'll have to write that down somewhere so I don't forget it. smile

If you are using pacman instead of yaourt, then the exact file name is given in the output.

I think I tried both, but either time, there was no filename output. It seemed as if it had gone into an infinite loop and just sat there. I should have taken screenshots...
