Keyboard/Mouse slow to be recognized.

I boot into KDM straight from the runlevel. After upgrading to KDE 4.2.1-1, I rebooted (power failure) and now it takes up to 20 seconds to be able to use my mouse and keyboard once in KDM. I only noticed this after that upgrade, but what could be causing this? Does anybody have any ideas on that?
