problems with awn-window-manager

hello,

I'm using Gnome 2.24 in combination with awn-window-manager. But one thing is not working correctly. I'd like to use awn to display the list of open windows and the systray (primarily because of wicd), both are shown in the gnome panel by default.

So how can I add the systray correctly to awn?

I've already deleted it in the gnome panel and added the notification area applet  in awn, logged in again, but there's only displayed a white vertical line.

How can I fix this?

OK I solved the problem by switching to the most recent awn-extras from AUR. But now the last.fm applet doesn't seem to work. Everytime I want to listen it shows: "Oops, we had a problem connecting."

Does anybody know somethin about that?
