I'm kinda at loss here, i've been having this issue for a couple of days now. At first I thought my mirror was out of sync, but now im worried something else is wrong? According to this site: http://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html, my mirror is recent: ftp.ds.hj.se/pub/os/linux/archlinux/$repo/os/i686
ftp.gigabit.nu/$repo/os/i686

Re: [SOLVED]pacman -Syu File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)

There's definitely something wrong with that mirror. initscripts is missing out of core and glsof is missing out of extra. Take a look:

ftp://ftp.ds.hj.se/pub/os/linux/archlinux/core/os/i686/
ftp://ftp.ds.hj.se/pub/os/linux/archlin … a/os/i686/

It's a known problem.
