Pacman not up-to-date

Hi,
I notice that if I do a pacman -Syu, it doesnt reflect on the new packages available that are posted on the front page of archlinux. 

Strange i thought that it will be in sync, is it also because I'm using a mirror for my first server to look in my pacman.conf?

Don't know if I understood you correctly, but I think it is because servers are updated every once in a while, so the packages are not in the servers at the moment they appear in the frontpage.
