Systems hangs during boot

I've been running Arch on my Laptop for some time now. Since yesterday I have been unable to boot it up. It just hangs after "Loading Keyboard Map: us". The cursor is still blinking but nothing happens. No error messages, no nothing. I booted with the live disc but none of the log files were modified. Emptying the DAEMONS array didn't help.

Any ideas on how to diagnose my problem?
