HAL automouting and file permissions

Hallo!

I am looking for a way to change the file permissions on mounted USB sticks. Without HAL the fmask and dmask mount options always worked fine. But how do I tell HAL to use these? I tried to do something similar to this: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HAL … or_ntfs-3g, only changed the filesystem to vfat, but it has no effect at all. Do I miss something? Any ideas?

Regards

Re: HAL automouting and file permissions

I have the same problem for ntfs-3g but for vfat I simply mount my external USB HD and set proper permissions through /etc/fstab. Maybe that is enough for you?
