How do I download a package using browser

I am at work with my laptop and for whatever reason, when I use shaman/pacman etc, I get corrupted packages and it does not matter which repo I choose.  I want to download openoffice, and I am using Chakra live, so I want to just save it to a disk and load it when necessary.  I don't want to save it in my overlay.

I tried adding my repo lines to the browser but I am not gettinga favorable result.  Is there a way to download it from ARCH?

I could pacman it at home and copy it from the /var/cache directory, but I am not there and if anyone gets this soon, perhaps I can have it up and working here at work.

You are changing the $repo bit to i686 or x86_64 when you paste the line from your mirrorlist file?

Re: How do I download a package using browser

You have to adjust the mirror url slightly.

example for heanet.ie i686 version :

ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.archlin … a/os/i686/

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
