I have installed VMWare Workstation 6.5.1 but cant seem to get my sound working for XP guest. I have tried with alsa, installed alsa-oss and OSS but keep getting the message...
Cannot connect virtual device sound. No corresponding device is available on the host.
Would you like an attempt to be made to connect this virtual device every time you power on the virtual machine?
I have looked at numerous sites for an answer but with no luck, 2 have left me needing to install XP again!
Also it keeps teeling me vmware tools is out of date but have no idea where to get an updated version.
