Amarok extremely slow then crashes with "Could not launch mail client"

How can it be Amarok's been so slow since I updated it the last time .. Suddently the visualization bar is gone nuts and showing transparent (showing last frame)
and Amarok says:

"Could not launch the mail client:
KDEinit could not launch 'Kmail',: Could not find 'kmail' executable." ..

This only happened after an update.

I have rated every single song I've heard since I installed Amarok, so I would not really like to experiment with deleting .kde/share/amarok

Thanks in advance.

Re: Amarok extremely slow then crashes with "Could not launch mail client"

Strange it doesn't do that at me. But then again I haven't updated libgpod that was (at least at me) in update package with Amarok.
I don't know why Amarok would demand to launch a email client?
OH sorry forgot to add that I use KDEmod Amarok. So maybe back-up your .kde/share/amarok and install the KDEmod one, if you don't have it installed already.

Whatever I do, I always end up with something horribly mis-configured.

Re: Amarok extremely slow then crashes with "Could not launch mail client"

Which version of Amarok is this? 1.4.x or 2.x?

In the 1.4 series, Amarok would try to open Kmail to send a backtrace if it crashes. What does Amarok say before that error message?
