Hi,
I was just wondering how safe su -c is.
I know that it only does one command and then stops, but by doing so, am I opening a hole for someone to get in?

It's not good to have the hole open...
And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?

Any threads that spawn from the original command you run will have root permissions I think, so just be sure to run a binary you are sure is safe.
Sometimes you have to run things as root, it's not dangerous, just be careful.
You may also want to look into 'sudo'.

UNIX was not designed to stop you from doing stupid things, because that
would also stop you from doing clever things.
(same applys to linux and any higher evolved OS)
