[Solved - *bonk*] nvidia-settings

Howdie,

I KNOW I SHOULD know the answer to this one, but I still draw a blank.
How can I make nv-settings apply the settings upon PC boot? I use KDEmod 4, there is a folder ~/.kde4/Autostart, I could possible put a symlink there. I did find by searching the forum (yes, I do that wink ) that I should start it using the -l switch to avoid the gtk interface coming up, and I don't know how I could do that. So I get the gtk interface on startup which is a bit uncool wink
I tried setting an alias for

nvidia-settings -l

but that does not work since I can't (or don't know how to) symlink an alias..

Help? smile

I believe that everything should go in ~/.nvidia-settings-rc for user stuff.

Re: [Solved - *bonk*] nvidia-settings

Create a shell script instead of an alias and symlink there.

To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

Re: [Solved - *bonk*] nvidia-settings

~/.nvidia-settings-rc just contains the settings I make, using the gtk ui or not. (At least thats what it looked like on a brief scan).

Putting a bash script into ~/.kde4/Autostart was exactly what I needed. Thanks.
Solved smile

And I KNEW I should have come up with that..
