[SOLVED] mkinitcpio problem no.3423

as usually, i used search and googled for a few hours, but didn't make it on my own.

i played with mkinitcpio.conf (playing smart), removed few hooks, and
ran mkinitcpio -p kernel26, and after restarting, there's a hell to pay.

basicly the problem is that "root device /dev/sda2 doesn't exist", or if i'm using 'by-uuid' method
"failed to create/detect root device 'dev/disk...."

i already tried putting in live-cd, mounting / and /boot, making another  kernel image with default mkinitcpio.conf settings (the ones that worked before), but in vain.

i ran bsdtar -t -f kernel26.img to check for wrong folder names, and found errors and corrected them, still nothing.

i also notice that only hooks 'udev' 'filesystems' and 'keymap' are being loaded but not others.
i tried playing with kernel parameters 'rootfstype=xfs' 'rootdelay' 'single', tried putting xfs module

also, the livecd kernel is 2.6.25 and mine is 2.6.28.

thnx to anyone for a hint, i really need it -_-'

I solved it myself, thank you all 4 reading.
