compiz plugins dont work
Hey guys, when i install compiz plugins ( not from repository but gitweb) they all show up in my CCSM but do not work, as soon as you enable them they disable.
anyone else have this problem 
?

Hi!
After some update (i think gconf was messing around with my config files), i had a problem where the plugins couldn't be found any more. Look at the error messages! Does it say something like: "can not state file /home/user/compiz/plugins/*.so"? Solved that one by finding the .so files in /usr/lib/compiz and doing
ln -s /usr/compiz/libs/* /home/user/lib/compiz/plugins.
Might be an ugly workaround though. You might really not want to have that folder unless you're sure you're getting the same error and there's no "real solution".
